Overview:
PET Polyester waterproof material has a series of excellent properties, such as high breaking strength and elastic modulus, moderate resilience, excellent heat setting effect, good heat resistance and light resistance. Polyester fibre melting point is 255 ºC or so, the glass transition temperature about 70 ºC, in a broad range of end-use conditions stable shape, fabric wash and wear resistance, in addition, also has excellent impedance (such as resistance to organic solvent, soap, detergent, bleach solution, oxidant) as well as good corrosion resistance, the weak acid, alkali, such as stability, thus has wide use and industrial use.

Synthesis steps:
The production process of polyester consists of melt synthesis and melt spinning. The raw materials for the synthesis of polyester are polyterephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, mainly obtained from petroleum cracking, but also from coal and natural gas. Petroleum pyrolysis to get toluene, xylene and ethylene, after chemical processing can get terephthalic acid or dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol. In the early polyester production, dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol were used as raw materials because terephthalate was not easy to be refined. In 1965, the refining of terephthalic acid was successful, which reduced the process and cost of polyester production. Terylene produced with terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol has been increasing year by year. Polycondensation: dimethyl terephthalate and ethylene glycol transesterification, the generation of diethylene terephthalate oligomer, in 280 ~ 290ºC and vacuum conditions to get polyethylene terephthalate; Or terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol directly esterified, and then ethylene terephthalate polycondensation to obtain polyester melt. Polyester melt can be used to prepare polyester chips and melt direct spinning. Polyester slicing is made of polyester melt by casting and cutting.
